Edmond John Ekele

Edmond John Ekele is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Excel Agro Value Chain Nigeria Limited (ExcelAgroVC), where he leads the company’s work to build an AI-powered digital agriculture infrastructure platform.

With more than two decades of experience across commercial banking, microfinance, financial inclusion, FinTech, agriculture, agribusiness, entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships, Edmond brings together practical insight from the financial system and agricultural economy.

His academic background includes an MBA in Business Administration from ESUT Business School, a B.Sc. in Entrepreneurship Studies from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and an HND in Accountancy from The Federal Polytechnic, Idah. He has also completed postgraduate Digital Business studies through Emeritus with MIT Sloan School of Management and Columbia Business School, and participated in the MIT Beyond Food Bootcamp.

At ExcelAgroVC, Edmond guides the company’s strategy, institutional partnerships, Kogi State pilot and long-term expansion. His goal is to connect farmers and agricultural businesses to trusted identity, data, finance, insurance, technology, markets and partnerships.
